HP Warranty: Deeper lifecycle visibility
Fetch and sync warranty data from HP, directly from vScope for improved planning and control of your assets' life cycle status. In this post I will briefly go through the latest feature in vScope, and how this strengthen the value of your asset repository.
With the new HP Warranty integration, vScope enables you to automatically retrieve warranty information for HP devices directly into your asset repository.
This gives your team an additional piece in lifecycle management. Together with the existing Dell and Lenovo warranty integrations, vScope will provide a more complete, continuously updated warranty status tied to actual infrastructure data.
Why Warranty Data Matters
In many organizations, warranty information lives outside the asset inventory – in spreadsheets, procurement systems, or separate vendor portals. This makes lifecycle management unnecessarily complex, since no-one really got the full understanding of ownership, end-of-life and device status.
By syncing HP warranty data directly into vScope, you bring the actual lifecycle data into the asset repository where all other asset data lives.

What the HP Warranty Integration Delivers
When enabled, vScope automatically fetches key warranty details for HP devices discovered in your environment, including:
- Warranty status
- Warranty start and end dates
- Service level information
The data becomes part of your asset repository – searchable, reportable, and historically traceable.
This means no more manual lookups, no need to access and log in to separate portals, and no manual spreadsheet maintenance.
From warranty to Lifecycle Control
With warranty data inside vScope, you can:
- Identify devices nearing end-of-support
- Plan refresh cycles proactively
- Budget hardware investments with confidence
- Provide finance with accurate replacement forecasts
- Support governance and audit requirements
This means overall stronger lifecycle governance, fewer surprises, and better cost predictability.
Designed “the vScope Way”
As with all vScope integrations, the HP Warranty feature follows the same principles:
- Automatic, agentless discovery
- Data stored on-premises
- Seamless integration into your existing asset structure
- Unlimited users with access to reports and insights
And… getting started is easy! Just add your HP API credential and enrich all your existing reports with warranty data. Same asset repository, just deeper visibility. You can learn all the details on Adding HP Discovery on our support page or get in touch with us and we’ll show you how it works!
Good luck!
